CASE STUDY
As we know the stock of ingredients is a huge challenge for cafe owners, so I create an app to manage the stock of ingredients. I try to cover maximum use cases of cafe owners. My goal is to make the app as easy to use as possible.
Key Challenges
- Create a Minimalistic User Interface for better user experience.
- Categorize & Cover maximum details of each product.
- Showing Cafe statistics by graph & animation representation.
- Make it responsive & smart to add, update or delete stock in minimum time.
Primary Research
Studies show that the people do not have such awareness to manage their stock digitally. Most of the stores manage their stock manually on paper. It's really hard to arrange the items on a daily basis and takes a lot of extra cost and time. Placing the items on the shelf is a tedious task. We need to make it easy for the people to manage their stock. I interviewed some people and found out that they are not aware of stock management. We discussed some of the main pain points that people face.
Pain Point
Its really hard to find the items on the shelf. Cannot keep track of where the item are placed.
Pain Point
Really hard to find that which items are expired and which are close to expiry.
Pain Point
Hard to count the each category item and arrange it according to the category.
Pain Point
Recognize the item quantity when it is almost out of stock and also hard to manage the price of the item.

P&P Wireframes
After a few nights a week, and started to put the concept into form. It was good doing these in-person next to one another so we could quickly start talking about the pros, cons, and "what-ifs" of each sketch. It was interesting to see the differences between each of my ideas as this was essentially the first time it is my own interpretation of what I initially thought the app should look like.

Digital Wireframes
Digital wireframes allow you to pay more attention to the details. The goal of paper wireframes was to get all of your ideas out on paper. And it was okay to be messy. But now with digital wireframes, it's important to get the structure right. And that means making your design cleaner. Digital wireframes are also easier to share than paper wireframes, because many digital tools, like the ones we'll use, allow you to collaborate.
I converted my paper wireframes into digital. I think that the dashboard is mandatory in an Inventory App because users need to check the status of their available stock, which is very difficult without a Dashboard. Then I converted the paper wireframes to digital using Figma.
I followed Gestalt Principles:
- Similarity
- Proximity
- Common region
